Who gets kissed by the lemur

I only have about 15 minutes to blog this evening because I soon have to pad the paws to bed to zzzzz or, hopefully zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

I've done a bit more sorting out .. just a bit .. and padded the paws out this evening. I still pad along pretty slowly .. though someone did say when they were helping me carry my shopping bac the other day that I was walking too quickly .. and sometimes I do .. this is true. They also said that I needed to wear a scarf .. I can't remember if he was wearing his .. but, I said .. yes, I know I needed to wear more on such a cold and windy evening .. so today I padded out with a jacket to keep the furries warm.

I think I better take the pillies and pad the paws to the land of dreamy dreams now or I'll be the late lemuure again. Before I go I'll post a clip of a lemuure in Madagascar that I told a woman about a couple of days ago when I met her in Waterstones. She was carrying a book about Madagascar where she ws going to meet lots and lots of lemuures.

http://www.travelpod.com/travel-photo/tonyandmarina/the_tour/1195390260/who-gets-kissed-by-the-lemur-xxx.mpg/tpod.html

She is hoping to meet lots of lemuure friends while she's there.

Cooking

I'm waiting for dinner to cook .. lentil stew with some carrots and dumplings .. not made with my own paws but already made and all I have to do is put the oven on, take the lid off and put it in the oven for 25 minutes. I have some soya baco bits and soya lemon yogurt to go with it. I'm getting ready to start the all in one saucepan cooking again and have the tins of tomatos and beans and bags of spinach ready to go.

Yesterday someone told me about a new method for Pot Noodles .. the Pot Noodle sandwich. Two slices of bread and butter or marg .. one pot of cooked pot noodles and salt and pepper and any sauces and pickles you like. Butter your bread and add plenty of cooked pot noodles and plenty of brown sauce or tomato ketchup or whatever sauces you like.

Yummy .. sadly the bread shelves were empty tonight at Tesco .. or I might have tried it for breakfast tomorrow instead of the porridge.

Someone else said .. that isn't very healthy lemuure .. but I would be using the wholemeal bread for my sandwiches .. and wouldn't be eating pot noodle sandwiches every morning.

There is always porridge ... a lemuure's favourite.

Brrrrrrrrrrrrr

Brrrrrr .. the fur was surely shivering a little when I woke up this morning and I thought the autumn winds were back again. When I pottered out later on in the day it was quite nice and warmish and I wasn't wearing a coat or a jacket with the summery clothes .. just a thin cardigan .. and was told off a little while coming back from Tesco. I'd met a friend who offered to carry my bags for me which was lucky because they were a bit too heavy for me really.

It had been cold in Tesco too. I'd pottered the paws down the freezer section and could feel the fur getting ready for its winter growth as I looked in the frozen veg section. I thought if the fur had been slightly wet icicles could have formed.

Brrrrrrrrrrrrr!!

I am still feeling a bit better. I was pleased to find out this morning that the back pain I'd had for a couple of days had not come back and that there was little of stuff called sluff which I'd had a lot of for quite a while.

Why I do not know.

It's been a quiet day because I'm quite tired and think I should pad the paws to bed early tonight .. but I think that every night and say to myself I'll just stay up five minutes more .. and then find myself there for another hour ........

........ or two.

Today

Today was one of those days that got better as it went on. The poorly paw paws were poorly poor to start off with but it was the kind of poorly poor that was made a lot better with the medicines.

It was just as well they weren't lost the day before but I'm sure, even if they had been, the police persons would have been happy to search for the ones I'd lost as losing them is a thing I must not do.

There are some pillies you can lose and some you can't.

I would have asked them if it was possible to phone my doctor and tell him that I had lost the pillies and could I have some new ones as the old ones were most likely down the bottom of a rubbish bin .. rather than have them having to retrieve them for me.

I thought I might have to stay in today but after taking the medicines I was able to pad the paws out around the town and then we went on a drive to Sainsbury to buy the tins of lentillies and tomatoes and bags of frozen spinach etc.

And, later on, to pad the paws out AGAIN!!!!!!!!

Padding the paws back again

What a day .. turning the paws to the sorting out again .. I thought I might have thrown away some of the medicines this afternoon and that they might be in the binnies. Well, for two of the bags this would be ok as they were right on the top .. but the other one ...... was ....... in another bin .. right down near the botom and I would have had to clamber down inside the binnie to get it back.

Now these weren't just any pillies .. but some of THE MST200s .. the pillies that the police like to know if you've lost them because they are the very special medicines .. the controlled pillies. So .. what was I to do .. go to the police station and say please could someone come and get my rubbish bag out of that binnie please because I think the MST200s might be in it and if I can't find them I have to tell you.

Anyway .. luckily, a while later after I'd searched most of the room a tidying a bit as I went I noticed them on the table where I'd put them the night before. I could remember taking them out of the bag and putting them on the sofa .. but I didn't remember taking them off the sofa and putting them on the table.

Panic over. And no dialing the 999s to get the police people out to climb into the bins in search of the turquoise pillies.

In a way it was quite good .. except for the panic .. because I managed to sort out a bit more as I searched. Though I had planned to work in the bedroom today but I knew the pillies weren't in there.

Tomorrow I have more bags to take down to the bins .. making sure my pillies are in the pill box first so no more panics.

What would I have said to my doctor if I had lost them .. and wasn't it lucky that I spotted them on the table before I pottered the paws down to the police station.

I'm quite a sleepy lemuure this evening so will soon be padding the paws to the land of dreamy dreams.

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

The harvest festival

You potter away and you potter back. I mean to be a blogging lemmuure every day but lately haven't been a blogging here much. I'm going to take the blog off to another page soon .. a moving it through the blogosphere but will just be round the corner at blogger.com .. so not moving very far away at all ... just to another page,

I am still padding the poorly paw paws around but it seems that I maybe a little bit better as I've had the asnishoos but have not had to go to the hospital even though it's been quite a while since they started. It seems to be getting longer every time now. So, today I was able to pad the paws up the road to the harvest festivals .. this is where you give the plants and food and then you buy them back and the money goes to a good cause. This time to the Hospice .. we made almost £100.

I gave some bits and pieces .. some choccies and nuts but didn't buy anything .. I put the paw up for one of Dave's paintings but then realised that the other person really, really wanted it in all it's purple skyness and kept the paw down at £8.50 .. a bargain as this was a painting on the canvas and not a print. Though he is usually very generous with the prices with us lemuures. It is a very lovely painting. I have one and I think that is enough. This was lovely though in its mauve and purpliness. Lemuures do so love the purplies.

We listened to a very nice lady and some people sang .. not me as I hadn't got my specs with me and couldn't read the words .. and then we had a cup of tea .. and then we went home.

I think that reminds me of a song but I can only think of a couple of lines

Then Charlie and me had another cup of tea
And then we went home.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r5XX9LX2es4

I wonder how many songs have been written about a cup of tea.

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Well .. off to bed now .. pattering the paws doon the corridor to the land of dreamy dreams. Or, in my case to a good night's zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz (hopefully) as I'm a lemuure who doesn't remember her dreams.

Apparently all lemuures dream .. it's just that some lemuures are so fast azzzzzzzzzzzz that they don't remember them when they wake up in the mornings.

Maybe a dream twice a year will be there when I wake up but not many more than ever. This means that I don't need a dreamer's dictionary to look up the meaning of my dreams. Because they are nearly always a secret .. even from me.

What a nice day it was today .. lots of sunshine

Summer is a cumming in .. Loud sing cuckoo
Get the porridge saucepan out
And mix the oats all about
Summer is a coming in
Loud sing cuckoo

Summer is a going out. Loud sing cuckoo
Get the porridge saucepan out
And mix the oats all about
Summer is a going out
Loud sing cuckoo

I hope summer and autumn will be rather similar this year .. summer was quite autumnal at times especially some evenings when a chill breeze blew into town ... brrrr .. times when a certain lemuure thought it might be nice to have taken a cardie out to keep the summer chills at bay.

Brrrrrrrrrr.

But for autumn that would be fine with nice sunny days,

I'm hoping for a nice warm summer next year but for this year it'd be nice to have a warmish autumn and a mildish winter and spring with just a few days of coldishness and snows and then ..... SUMMER .. like the one before the two we've just had which were not like summer at all.

Anyway .. now I must patter the paws to bed. No staying up too late at the moment becauseI need to get the zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Good zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzs

Pottering the paws

Well .. I will be padding the paws across the blogosphere to a new bloggins soon. What is thisLemuure you might as ... moving again .. a padding the paws through the ether once again. Ofcourse if I do this I will have to find a new bloggy name and a new layout .. whether to stay with the bloggers or not or move to another site.

I have been a blogging lemuure for a long time though and a blogging lemuure I will probably stay .. Blogging lemuures .. 2!!!!!!!!!!! could be the new bloggins.

But maybe not.

I will be moving to a site just for the one bloggings rather than having many, many of them all together like a bunch of grapes.

Today has been a lovely sunny day .. though summer isa going out rather than a coming in even though today it did seem as if it wasall a bit bacwards and summer was just starting. Let's hope we'll have the lovely warm Autumn.

I bought a book today from the Oxfam bookshop. Last week I'd missed book that someone else bought .. but not to worry because I have it at home. It is The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying .. a book about the philosophies of the Buddhists.

Imagine my joy when I waled into the Oxfam bookshop and saw a very similar book .. Neil's Book of the Dead .. a philisophical book abought life I should think as it seems to be on the same subject though perhaps not about the Buddhists and with a lot of nice pictures.

http://www.fantasticfiction.co.uk/b/terence-blacker/neils-book-of-dead.htm

Anyway, I'll read this book before going home and then will read my other one.

Ah, yes, not only will I be a pottering the paws across the blogosphere but I'll also be a plodding the paws down the roads to Londinium very shortly though I think the pottering across the bloggyiespheres will come first .. like maybe .. tomorrow,

Back to zzzzzzzzzzzz

Almost five in the morning and up with the oramorphs. It takes about twenty minutes to work and then certain lemmure will be back in the land of dreamy dreams already I can feel the sleepiness overtaking the pain. I'm still a bit shivery .. though not with the cold but a cold. I thought it was more or less gone but it does get better every day .. it's just the slight shiveryness this morning and the extra aches and pains are nowhere near as bad.

So, in about ten minutes a certain lemuure has to pad the paws back to bed.

And back to zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Padding the paws bedwards

I've pottered the paws to the land of dreamy dreams on time three nights out of the last four ... with half an hour's lateness here and there. It might've been two nights out of four if the oranges hadn't turned the internet off for us on the stroke of twelve last night. I have to admit I didn't give up easily but there was no going on .. Internet Explorer cannot display this page was the only message I got .. so I pottered off down the corridor.

And fell asleep as soon as I snuffled the snout into the pillows and curled the tail around.

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Until this morning ... when I woke up earlier than I'd hoped!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sometimes it seems you just can't win!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But this was because I hadn't woken up during the night for the oramorphies.

What to do!!!!!!! Anyway it'll be an early night again tonight .. midnight and no later.

What a day .. the sun was out for .. for part of the day .. though last night it had been so cold .. I'd pottered the paws out for the hot chooolate and pottered back at around ten and there was such a cold breeze aruffling the fur. I could not believe that this was summer .. there'd been the cold breezes aruffling the fur a few days before too .. and then people were telling me that it was so warm the next day that they'd been out enjoying the warm weather.

Well, not long before I have to think of turning the paws in fer the night .. only another four and a half to go but I will be a good lemuure and pad the paws bedwards on time.

I hope!!!!!

Get ur motor running!!!!

Back from a night on the hot chocoolatings. He he he. Not far to pad the paws back which is good .. and I know if the paws get poorly I will be alright.

What a day!! Two appointments at the hospital .. with lots and lots of pillies to make sure that I don't run out .. it is the steroid sparing drug that is the most worrying .. lucky that there was enough with pills from another chemist the other week .. who had just a few in stock .. there wasn't time to get to the hospital pharamacy and it was the weekend when they are shut .. they only had six boxes there too. It is a rare drug .. often used for the transplants .. but also for illnesses like mine .. well, obviously .. as I am not a transplanted lemuure!!! At the hospital we had the silver nitrate for the over granulation .. where something is healing too enthusiastically. I didn't actually see it but they said it was the silver nitrate stick and they kind of chalk over the area that is healing. I was also told it would sting A LOT but the morphines etc stopped the pains or it just doesn't hurt too much with the overgrannulating.

I got to talk about the arabics .. the shukran and min fudhlik .. the thankyou and please and the laws .. you never know when u potter the paws out what u will end up talking about!!!! And it is good that I don't have to potter the paws far .. it is hard after eating and drinking sometimes. Though today I had the cauliflower and the samosas at the hospital with apple tart and coostard to follow and then got the bus back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Though did wait a while because I had to go to the pharmacy .. and what a lot of people there .. all collecting their pillies for this and there pillies for that.

A nice day .. though I have to admit a certain lemuure has the cottonwoolly ears at the moment .. but maybe that's more to do with the asnishoos than anything else. I padded the paws back from the doctors too without out too much trouble. Though there are still the difficulties. But it isn't long since my doctor thought I might have to be a pavement driver in one of those motorised wheelchairs .. panic!!!!!!!!

Get your motor runnin'
Head out on the highstreet
Lookin' for adventure
And whatever comes our way.

Instead I am pottering the paws doon the highway to the doctors .. a good fifteen minute potter I think. I have to stop a lot and if I try to rush I get out of breath .. but I can potter doon the highway again.

Why?

Well, New Scientist is back why it went .. or, maybe even if it went .. we do not know ... though it would've been strange if it had sold out. After reading this week's issue we realise that it might've been missing because of something someone's mum ate when she was expecting them or something like that .. this is because of the e .. pig ..enetics. Easy to remember because of the little piggies.

Well, the e .. sow .. enetics is about how doing things may affect the children as well as things just passed down through the genes.

Usually it's just accepted that traits are passed down through the genes .. though that it might be more complicated has been suggested before and along these lines.

I'm tired and haven't got the magazine infront of me but I will try and remember some examples .. though I am the very tired lemmure tonight. It's really interesting and very important it seems.

One example given was from Holland during the war when there was a famine there and preganant women didn't get much to eat .. it was found later on that the sons of these women all put on weight very easily. One thing cutting down calories a lot does is slow the metabolism down because the body stores calories in preparation for a long time with little food so uses energy up very slowly .. that's why people often put weight back on after being on a strict diet .. their metabolism has slowed down.

So it appears the women had passed the slow metabolism down to their sons .... they hadn't had much to eat during their pregnancies and their metabolisms had slowed down and this had been passed down to their sons. It didn't say whether the sons children had faster metabolisms or not.

Another example was that of mice who had been neglected by their mothers .. the young mice grew up to be very nervous and it was found that there were differences in their nervous systems that had been caused by their reactions to the neglect .. their nervous systems were physically different from mice who had not been neglected as young mice. It was more than just a behavioural reaction .. there had been physical changes in their nervous systems too which had occured while their brains were still developing and remained in adulthood.

Something like this was found again in a group of men who had been abused as children .. there were differences in their brains too .. all these guys had, sadly, gone on to kill themselves.

Another example given was of mice who's fathers had snorted coke in the lab .. their babies had been born with bad memories.

This is showing that there is more passed down from parents than just a basic genetic code and that the environment can affect the genes and so affect the developing child too.

Shows how scientific thinking changes as new things come to light .. though this was suggested back along time ago .. just like climate change was predicted by British scientists back in the 19th century.

Anyway .. I have to go to sleep now .. I am a very tired lemuure.

Tomorrow I will read the article about the moon.

Panicks

Soooo. Where is the New Scientist this week .. it's not to be seen on any of the news stands we looked at ... well, only some copies from the week before. I rushed in on Thursday and thought they looked rather familiar .. and they were .. last week's is this weeks it seems. I did spot some New Scientist paperbacks in The British Heart Foundation shop .. Why Don't Penguins Feet Freeze and Does Anything Eat Wasps .. but no sign of this week's copy of the magazine.

Have the Globally warming climate changes finally taken their toll and have the staffies gone on their holidays. Lemuuries do hope the magazine hasn't become extinct as it is one of their favourities ... if they can get their paws on a copy. Things had seemed to look up when a rumour went round that it was due out on Sunday .. but Sunday arrived without New Scientist appearing. I suppose it could be next Sunday or the Sunday after that .. or, even, Thursday. Perhaps they'd looked out at the weather and thought it was christmas rather than summer and had a week off. Who knows.

Perhaps we will find out tomorrow cause Thursday is the day it usually appears.

Padding the paws to go to sleep.

And .... now, it is unbelievably time to go to sleeps again. Almost eleven o'clock and as it generally takes about two or three hours from me deciding to go to bed to actually getting there ... always the late lemuure ... sigh .. sigh .. sigh. I should start now .. today I hope it takes about ten minutes!!!

Though I made up for my always being late the other day .. but so that I'm not late today I have to leave saying anything muure about that until tomorrow .. or I'll be late again.

Time to pad the paws to bed.

Swimmingwear and ocean currants

It seems that the global warmings and climate changes can be reflected in the type of swimware through the last century or so .. though some people might think that there had been a bit of the scientific prediction involved in the swimmingwear manufacturers.

http://img208.imageshack.us/img208/9682/globalwarmingswimwear1dd.jpg

But as one of the members of the local branch of climate change group, Rising Tides, that I was talking to said, we might possibly be moving back the other way .. it all depends on the currants in the oceans.

http://risingtide.org.uk/

As he said things could get very cold ... very cold indeed .. which might make people change from the smaller swimming wear to the larger legged types and then on to the skating wear.

But, then again. .. the useful scientific diagram above might still be accurate because the scientists aren't quite sure what these currants are up to any more and quite when we could need the skating and different swimming wears in the future.

It depends on whether the North Atlantic Drift/Gulf Stream will be releasing the warmth from the waters here or not. There are other factors in the ocean that contribute to the temperature here too but this is a major one.

The reaisin is down to the salt in the currants or not in the currants.

Hot chocoolate and orange juice

At the moment it seems that I don't feel like eating much .. but, never mind, there is always the hoot chocoolate, the fruit juicies and .. the Fortisip Proteins. And, possibly the Moviecol too if I don't eat enuff of the roughage ... so there should be the Weetibixes and a little veg and fruit as well .. if the Moviecol is hopefully to be avoided.

So far .... so good!!!!!! Though I did go rather heavy on the hot chocoolate today.

Even, sadly, the bowls with an e of a lemuure used to lotsa roughage could end up Moviecolled if there is too much of the fruit juices and hot chocoolate and not enough of the fruit and veggies.

Today was special though and I had the veggies and a poached eggy out with hot chocoolate and orange juice. Hopefully this will encourage me to have the veggies in too more often. There was a bit too much hot chocoolate (!!it was too nice to resist!!) but at least there were vegetables as well.

Now I have to sort out the medicines . a bit late but within the time I can take them without overlapping the overlap too much. So .. off to get the water .. as I have had enough of the hot chocoolate and fruit juice today .. well, too much really .. but as today was a day for a little bit of a treat to try and encourage eating again I thought it didn't really matter. I have had the Fortisip Proteins too so plenty of protein too with the vitamins and minerals.

And .. shortly .. I will be pottering of to the land of dreamy dreams .. a tired but hot chocoolated lemuure.

Zzzzzzz ... dreams ... hot chocooolate ... zzzzzzzzzzzzzz ... dreams ... hot chocoolate and maybe ... orange juice ... zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Breakfast!!!!!!

Weetabixes with cold chocoolate soya milk

And later ......

Hot chocoolate and a Strawberry Fortisip with extra proteins.

Two Weetabixes

Writing the wrong way round .. sigh .. I'm blogging in the evening instead of blogging in the morning as I said I would.

Things are so complicated at the moment that often I just can't fit the bloggins in to the schedule. The problem is .. I'm tired in the morning and then I'm tired in the evening and tired in between too.

Some people have suggested that I spend too much time a playing fer the joolz that are not joolz .. but what is a lemuure to do if she wants to send the gifties .. only about 300,000 to go til I can do this .. just a couple of years or so ... lol!!! But I will stop playing so long .. but the people they send out the invites to play so I play quite a lot as a lemuure likes t .. sorry must .. but I will cut it down .. and return to the reading and meditations and other things.

I'm a tired lemuure to at the moment .. both the illnesses and the medications make me feel rather tired .. but, still, maybe, just a bit more rest wouldn't be a bad idea .. which means doing the meditations as generally I'm not a good sleeper.

I have the nice National Geographic magazine to read that was there in the hospital shop called Changing Climate. I didn't read it in the hospital as I didn't have me spectetarcles with me though I could see to read but just not as well as I can with them .. best to wait til I got back.

The climate certainly changed while I was in the hospital. It was very cold the morning I went in .... Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr I said to the ambulance people ... I was surprised that it was so cold. Brrrrrrrrrrrrr ......... shiver ........... brrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!

But when I came back it was lovely and warm. I had changed too, running with sweat on my way in while it was freezing cold and then not when it was a lot warmer. I won't go into more graphic details .. but let's just say ... pass the sick bowl please .. though I'm pleased to say that there wasn't an e added to the bowl .. just one way problemos.

I wasn't in time fer the eggy flans this time .. if I had stayed in another day I would have had some of this lovely food but I said I was ok to come back so come back I did .. missing tomorrows flan. I had hardly eaten since Friday but I was still well enough to leave. I'd just had some soup .. irrestistable and a few spoonfuls of veggies and custard. Very nice but I couldn't eat much for most of the time I was there. Though I did have TWO Weetabixes for breakfast the morning I left. It took me a while to get through them .... but who could refuse two!!!!

sugar free

Back from the hospital again. I seem to spend a lot of time there. Was back yesterday but went in again today though as a visitor bearing gifts of sugar free marmalade. Why not ... better than having bread and marge for breakfast. Though you do get the cereals and fruit juice too. If you're diabetic there can be a bit of a problem though and the sugar frees are better for you than other marmalade. It seems that you can't get the sugar frees in the little potties in the hospital.

Anyway, on that note, I will go to bed for the sleepies as I'm a very tired lemuure at the moment and must get some rest.

Very zzzzzzzzz tired zzzzzzzzzzzz etczzzzz zzzz zzz zz z

Who knows?

Well ... how confuzzling is that!!! The Gulfie Stream a going this way or a going that ways!!! Is the change in the waters making it undecided about which way to turn . what influences are making it do this. It's not just that it might change direction but it has been suggested that it might stop.

Last year it was doing that .. this year it's doing this .. and next year ... who knows!!!!!

S(n)O(w) what about this winter?

Where did it go? With all the talk about changing currents and mini ice ages why wasn't there piles of snow everywhere through the winter months.

I missed most of the snow this month and just saw a little on the recycling bins for the newspapers on me way back from doing the shoping in the afternoon. Is it possible that I was missing snow all through the winter.

Well, no, I wasn't. There has been very little snow and what a mild winter ... so why is everyone talking about mini ice ages because we've had a couple of days of snow in April? lol.

Could it be, if it wasn't April 1 .. that the tidals have moved the months about a bit and everyone just thought it was April 1st because the weather is so strange. And, that's one thing u can say for sure .. this winter has not been what u would expect.

It's been very mild. It has been very good for me cause it's meant that I've been able to get around a bit .. even on the days with snow this month. - degrees C at night to let the snow settle at times and then temperatures high enough to melt four inches or so of snow during the day. There were temperatures of - degrees at night and then around 8 or 9 degrees C during the day that week!!!!!!!!!

I said to someone that I couldn't remember it being like this before ... having such icy nights followed by such relatively warm days. So warm that so much snow had all but vanished by the time I went out ... well, by the time I got up ... which wasn't that late that day. Amazing!!!!

So, what are our little tidals doing you have to ask yourself. What on earth was going on that week? Freezing cold at night. Brrrrrrrr. Warmish during the day. Hmmmm ..................

Ofcourse, the answer to that, here, is I don't know, cause I haven't asked anyone nor have I been following this years climate change debate. Not only haven't I been the blogging lemuure but I also haven't been reading much the last year or so ... some days I have been reading .. some days I've just been too tired.

Someone told me a week or so ago that the ice is still melting much faster than it was expected to .. but that people are still divided about what this means in the long run.

I would think that the reason for the ice melting faster than expected might be that climate change doesn't just involve the chemicals going into the atmosphere from what we're doing but also the natural rhythms of changes in the earths climate and the two together make it harder to predict..

The truth is as I mentioned when I first started blogging is that there are going to be many surprises .. there's no model that can really account for everything in the changing biosphere.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biosphere

But, having said that, there is a real result from having the models and that is that the they are pointing us in the right direction .. though not all the effects are predicted from all the causes all the time.

Is there (s)no(w) global warming

Someone said that I'm not such a blooging lemuure theses days .. a bloggging for lemuures everywhere.

It's true I've not been blooging as much as I was ..it's not because I don't have anything to blog about .. gosh!!! a blogging lemuure always has lots to werite about it's just that some of us don't seem to get round to actually doing it.

I am rather a tired lemuure right now and have been having trouble with my keyboard. A non blogging lemuure could always blame her tooljes I suppose but really I just haven't been a blogging as much as I used to before the paws became poorly.

I should be blogging about the global warming because there have been weather problems in Madagascar in the last few years which have been making it difficult for some lemuures living there. I've been trying to find the article I mentioned somewhere else about the global warmings but I seem to have lost it.

Now, I was reading this very late at night .. or, early in the morning really, and was a very sleepy lemuure indeed .. though with the kind of sleepiness where u cannot seem to sleep .. so maybe I got it wrong because I wasn't concentrating very hard .. too tired .. but, then .. it was rather a startling thing to read ... I wish I could remember the date .. but I don't think it was April 1st .. but ... just ... maybe!!

It was while there was snow .. and u just know that when there's a bit of lateish snow or a bit of earlyish snow .. someone is going to write an article saying there is (s)no(w) global warming ... I mean ... just look at all that snow and that's what I found myself reading early that morning.

So, ok ... I was hoping that the zzzzzzz's might be there after reading this ... having read it in various forms over the years zzzzzzzzzz gud night nocturnals I'm a sleeping now ... but, no, I was jolted awake as I read thriough it!!

Could this be true? Could they really be changing the history books and removing all accounts of the mini ice overs of a few centuries back ... when the Thames froze over

http://news.softpedia.com/news/What-Caused-the-Medieval-Little-Ice-Age-video-41383.shtml

Well, this was what I found myself reading. I wondered how this was going to be possible .. all books censored and all papers, films and the internet too. How as this going to happen .. we seemed to be in a police state and I hadn't realised it ... must've happened while I was very, very ill. So .. all mention of the mini ice ages were to be removed. There was much more .. saying how campaignere were always exaggerating everything .. and that nearly ALL of the scientific world would go along with this because there was SOMETHING in it for them!! Whereas if it was a natural occurance there would be nothing.

Ofcourse not .. no planning ahead or trying to estimate what whould happen .. ofcourse not ... or then trying to find ways of limiting the damage to get through it .. or finding out why this could be happening .. ofcourse not .. well, that's what the article suggested .. the science world would be doing none of these things ... very strange .. I always thought they had a paw or two in matters like this.

This article appeared to be written by someone outside of nearly ALL the scientific world and believed that there is no such thing as global warning .. well, infact .. the science world rather wishes there was no use of the words "global" and "warming" together to explain the changes happening and that, instead "climate change" could be used as the warming can actually cause parts of the world to cool.

If the gulf stream changes course because of the effects of climate change then things could get colder.

http://www.newscientist.com/article.ns?id=dn8398

It is the same effect as what is thought to have caused the mini ice ages in the past .. before oodles of chemicals were pumped into the atmosphere one way or another. And it is possible that there is natural climate change taking place too BUT that is along with any effects that changing ther chemical mix up there might have. You'd think if someone knew about the possibility of natural climate change as well as well .. unnatural climate change .. they'd be backing the scientists, that is most of the scientific community, in researching how to turn back the tides of change so to speak.

Al Gore was mentioned as over doing the warnings. Well, maybe sometimes people could be said to be looking at the worst case scenario. This has been said over and over again .. and like the other articles on this subject ... not on April 1st!!!

I think that it's best possibly just to look at this .. if there is too much of something in the atmosphere that wasn't there before .. something starts to happen. This was suggested by two British scientists back at the end of the 19th century .. who predicted the problems that could arise.

That is it fer tonight .. tired lemuuries must do their pillies and get to bed .. and have a snoutie through the papers .. maybe!!!

Gud night

Had to go to the doctors todasy .. to see the nurse. I realised on my way down there that I had got a bit of ice cream and chocoolate on da fur which I hadn't noticed before. When I got there I reassured the nurse that this was the ice cream and chcoolate and not a new lurgy that would mean taking another umpteen pillies of all colours to treat.

I wondered what colours are left .. I have red ones an mauve ones and big deep pink ones .. which amazingly are the ibuprofen but prescription ibuprofen and red ones and turquoise ones and brown ones and white ones.

It's like a rainbow well .. not quite a rainbow if we're gonna be totally accurate.

Anyway .. I don't have time to chat this evening cause I have to go to sleep before twelve or I'll turn into a grumpy lemuure .. or so I'm told.

This is what happens if lemuures don't get enuff rest it seems.

All I can say to that is humph(ery)

And ... I better not say anymore or I'll still be humph(erying) in the morning.

Gud night

Good evening .. good night and good morning

Well, I was going to go out this evening .. probably best that I didn't cos I might've got the wet from the snow. When did it start .. when did it finish!!! Would I have taken my umbrella.
There was about four inches of snow here the night before .. falling while I was asleep .. mostly melted when I was up and about again.

Can u believe that!!! Four inches of snow!!!! And all I saw was a little bit that was left on a wall .. hardly enuff to make a snow lemuure with. Too late anyway because it was melting too.

I didn't go out because I fell asleep for about five hours .. didnae wake up to hear the phone ringing
.
Just a fast asleep lemuure.

Then back to bed ... and then up again and now back to bed again.

Good evening .. good night .. good morning.

Time to sleep again.

The languages

Well .. well ..... well the languages are on da agendas. I 'ave the nieue friendz. La la!! le le!! les les!! la la.

This ees gonna be tres difficile as nous parles just a teeny bitz of de languages deze jours en sometimes gets the languages a bit mixed up!!!

This is all gonna change it seems ... and like maintenent!!!

Why oh why did je think it would all be about looking after the rainies in de rainbow rescues and things like dat. I was there to be a committed and dedicated rainbow rescuing lemuure.

En voila!!!! It seems we r doing this in many places in the world in the different languages. Lemuures it seems we might 'av' to be learning the nieue languages.

So la la le le les les la la

Wot fun this could be.

We need to be getting the nieue computerers into the ecolejes now that the vouchers r back agin. Auntie John might be collecting or the mama or papa in the queue behind you and ofcourse the people there too at lots of times to have this going on.

Maybe the childeren will be learning the many languages of everywhere.

Off 2 sleep

I have to say that Kwacker and Piglet are very quick at the gamies!!! How they move so quickly I do not know .. I've only got to the really really high score ONCE .. don't ask me what I did differently that time cause I don't know and almost fell off me chair when I saw my score!!!! My good friend Ted (Bear) also pads the paws very quickly and has got many of these joolz and can change the furstyles to whatever she wants and has the animated messages and the gifts to send. One day in the very distant future I will be able to send people the animated messages and gifts too.

I doubt if I'll ever have enuff of the joolz for a blog but maybe just as well ... as I can't keep up with the bloggings here.

The site is very good for those who are learning the languages because you can play the word games in different languages .. I think u click on the flag of the country u want 2 play in and off u go. But ... obviously .. not all the languages ... not even the 40 they r learning in that skool. You can not play in text speak there and they will give u NIL POINTS if u do.

I'm such a tired Lemuure that I fell asleep earlier on. Fast asleep without even padding the paws to bed .. just a sitting on the sofa. So it's late to bed .. but not so late to sleep cause I've already started that and managed an hour or two earlier on.

But I'm going back to get more sleep now.

Dusting the desk

Well .... I finally got the links to link to the pages. Why oh why did one page want to keep two instead of one letter .. could it be that my keyboard is a bit on the sticky side. It has been doing it's own thing for a couple of days now and probably needs a bit of a bath though with the duster and not the pepsi this time.

Do I remember when I put the paracetamol a fizzing in the glass next to the keyboard ... and it fizzed too much cause of the diet pepsi. s .. pl ... aa .... shhhhhhhhhhhh..

Everywhere!!!!!!!!

I will give the keyboard a little clean if it gets any worse .. though it might be because I've been typing on the floor on top of some papers.

We shall see .. possibly the best thing to do is to move it and try again.

Music and strokes and healing

I love music .. and even though the eardrums aren't as good as they once were it still means a lot to me. But, I don't listen as much as I should .. infact very rarely. It is good for you and it's been found that listening to music after you've had a stroke can minimise the damage.

I will potter off to try and find the linkje.

I have found and brought back these:

http://www.world-science.net/othernews/080220_stroke-music

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/02/20/earlyshow/main3851691.shtml?source=RSSattr=Health_3851691

and, excuse me a minute while I go and find Oliver Sachs who has a lot to say about music and healing.

http://www.bobjanuary.com/hhh/hhhpics/oliver.htm

http://musicophilia.com/

We have had the other music that you could listen to through the headphones for the relaxing meditation and now we have this where you can choose your own music which with other therapies could help you heal.

Early to zzzzzzzzzzzzz

Easter is here and brings with it the chocoolate. I have the organic chocoolate this year .. in a sort of flat egg shape .. but oblong instead of oval. Usually I have the little Green and Blacks vegan Easter Egg ... dark chocoolate with no little eggies ... but this year I find I have something totally different.

I am not quite sure what this symbolises but maybe the opening of the door to a new beginning as it is door rather than egg shaped but is still the Easter egg gift.

I will probably be the staying in lemuure this Easter as it is going to be cold. Maybe just out a little .. but maybe not. I have a little cold and must look after myself better.

Things seem to be improving slowly though I have to be more careful and eat properly and get enough sleep. It is so easy when you're a sleepy lemuure not to go to bed though just because you are too sleepy to get up from the chair and potter off.

It seems that lots of us have this problem. You get too tired to go to bed so you sit there and you sit there and you sit there and say I'll go to bed soon ... but, you carry on sitting there and sitting there and sitting there. I snoozed off very early last night while I was still up ... this was lucky cause it meant that I did get enuff sleep.

Tonight I have said that I'll try and be in bed and a snoozerooing by 12. I have taken my medicines to fit in with this. I might even turn in early and take a book to read.

Last night the wind was blowing and the weather was very stormy awhistling round the roofs and a lashing the rain. Tonight there is the winds blowing again so maybe after the dinner it'll be nice to tuck the tail around early and read a book.

I might read the New Scientist which is my favourite magazine. I will think of that and try to get to the bed earlier and then when read ... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Or even a bit of a book as well if I get there early enough.

Perhaps trying to tuck the tail around earlier isn't so difficult after all.

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

What to do .... read a bit of the bag or chat to people or play a few games .. or go to bed earlier than I need to.

Well, I'm going to be the good lemuure and potter off to bed.

How things change ... instead of having people telling me to go to bed I'm a now asking them to remind me that it's best for certain lemuures to wrap the tail around and potter off to their bed before the clock strikes midnight. Otherwise they're going to be very tired lemuures indeed.

Even if I don't get to sleep it's best if I potter off to bed and rest. I can do the meditations a lying down and rest the brain for a while. It seems that meditation can help those of us who find it difficult to sleep.

Soon I'll be asking for more reminders ... but to potter off to the world of dreamy dreams before twelve will do for now.

Yogurt, calcium pill .... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Oh well, as a poorly paw pawed lemuure I have to go to bed .... now, it seems. As soon as I have eaten my yogurt I am off to the land of dreams again. I have taken the medication and had my dinner except for the yogurt and calcium pill. Once I have had them I have to turn in.

So, gud night.

Don't do this at home

Not long ago I had a problemo with one of my tooffs and one of those mini mini bite size bites of Oatibix. Be careful other lemuures because these Oatibixes can be bad news for the tooffs though good news it seems too.

A little while ago I'd poured my Oatibixes .. I think they might be a bit like dried porrage with added extras ... into my bowl and added the chocolate soya milk and waited for it to all soggy up and be ready to eat. I ate a couple of spoonfuls ... so far .. So Good (a little play on words for all the UK soya milk drinkers reading). Then I bit into an oatibix that was only a little soft bwcause it hadn't absorbed enuff milk .. and er .. a bit of me tooff was almost part of me breakfasting.

I was a very annoyed lemuure. I'd thought that these Oatibixes weren't quite the same as other packets I'd had before. This Oatibix should've been called an Oatibrickx it was so hard. Anyway I phoned a few dentists but decided to wait til I got back to London before having it sorted. It's not a big deal.

And I'm glad I did. My lip was still having problems healing totally. T'was just a tiny bit but I guess the movement from eating and talking was getting in the way of it healing. But now there was much improvement .. the top layer of skin was staying on longer though it wouldn't stay .. to start off with. But, it hadn't done this for a year or so when it had gone in the first place. There are seven layers of skin and while some seemed ok and held in place this top layer would not stay put. If it seemed to grow a little red line would appear round it separating it from the rest of the skin and off it would go ... generally in the morning when I woke up and started doing things again.

Anyway this had continued for about a year .. didn't matter what dosage of steroids and steroid replacing medication I was on .. it just stayed the same and I was wondering if it'd ever heal. I suppose it wasn't that much of a big deal but it would be better if it did mend.

After me problemo with the oatibixxie this changed and I'm happy to report no little red lines and only six out of seven layers. I now have the full seven layers all the time. In the morning .. through the day .. in the evening .. and through the night. etc. etc etc.. ad infini ... tum.

I am now very careful with the Oatibixes.

A new challenge ...

Up, fed and have taken my medicines. And have played my first challenge off which is where someone invites u to play the mahjoongs or other games. I have one more of these challenge offs to play at a game I haven't played before and don't know how to play.

Should I read the rules first or not or would it be more fun just to click and play.

Actually this one is to play with a friend so that I can see the new graphics she's got by going up to a new level.

Don't get over 10,000 she says. Well, I'll try my best not to.

To be honest I don't see this game lasting very long. I didnae win the other one either .. the paws click slowly these days.

I have played the practice tournaments and sometimes win and sometimes lose .. but I don't mind either way .. I have the joolz to play with the avatar .. a changing the fur and the hats and spectetarcles a bit .. and this makes me a contented lemuure.

Sunday morning

I am off to snooze in the right place tonight ... at the right time ... well .... more or less
and sort of. It is not good to sleep sitting up on the sofa I am told .. though better than not sleeping at all. Tomorrow is Sunday so what does a particular lemuure have to remember to do before doing anything else??????????

Sunday is the once a week pill time .... before a cup of cha ... before a slice of toasts .... before a bowl of porridge or weetabixes. It's just as well we're allowed the water .. infact we have to have a glass of water and not just the little sips .. lotsa lotsa water .... and just one pill.

Then I'm not allowed to lie down again for half an hour but must sit up or walk around.

After half an hour I can have a cup of tea or even have a slice of toasties and marmalade and porridge.

And if I want to can lie down and snoozeroo again.

Lots of people take this pill. I've spoken to quite a few people both in and out of the hospital who do. In the Marks and Spencers .. in the Tescos .. in the Boots .. in the Sainsburys it seems there are lots of people who have to take this once a week pill .. not lying down for half an hour and drinking nothing but water and no breakfasts for the half hour.

Off I go to snoozeroo.

Off to the sleepy times

Thursday, 6 March 2008

Well, the paws had to be padded back to the hospital on Sunday. I was not the well lemuure at all and had to call an ambulance to get to A and E. When we got there I had to go to the side room to wait for the doctors and nurses to come and see me. After talking and examinations I was taken to the 48 hour ward which is an admission ward. I don't think I have been to that one before ... usually I seem to skip this and go straight to one of the other wards .. this maybe because I'm often admitted by the team from BAD ... the British Association of Dermatologists rather than through A and E.

Off to the ward I went. They had given me the pain medicines earlier but I was not the well lemuure. Not at all but they soon had this in hand and I was given the pillies to make me feel better. Some of these and some of those ... a bit of this and a bit of that.

The pillies soon helped and I was the feeling better lemuure again. I have to say that everyone was wonderful .. the doctors, nurses, student nurses and assistants couldn't've been better.

Then it was time to go. The doctor said there would be a bed in one of the other wards that day and it was mine so I left the 48 hour ward for another ward a feeling a lot better.

Hello I said. Hello they said. I'd stayed here twice before and knew the nurses. Again looked after very well and am waiting to see what the doctor will say now.

And .... the soup and porridge? What can a lemuure say????? I had not been eating so had to miss these treats when I arrived and I still couldn't manage much but I tested the porridge for breakfast. And then, for tea, I had the souppie ... vegetable and, then, yesterday, the tomato. Two bowls of the lovely tomato. I was the lucky lemuure and there had been some trays left over and spare soup. I could not say no. Sandwiches and pudding had been rather difficult to eat ... but two bowlies of tomato soup?????????? This was a treat that could not be turned down.

Padding the poorly paw paws doon toon .. and .. um .. back!!!

I pottered the poorly paw paws doon toon again .. and back again. I had rests in the park and many, many stops just a standing and a resting on my stick. I decided to potter down and see how it went. It's good to potter the poorly paws around.

I had been a bit quicker with some of the games earlier on in the day and had thought this might mean that the paws were ready to go for a longer potter than usual. As it turned out I was glad that I went.

Gaming lemuures (2)

It's even more exciting being a gaming lemuure than I thought earlier today. It seems that I can send and receive messages as well as play the gamies.

I decided to look in my messages a little while ago and found, much to my surprize, that other padders of the gaming paws had sent me pressies and messages. It was just as well I was consumed wirth curiousity this evening about da messaging otherwise they'd've not known if I was ignoring them or, just as it happened, I hadn't looked in the messages before because I am a new(ish) lemuure on the site and hadn't thought anyone would message a non-paying lemuure with so few jewels who nobody knew .. or, if they did, don't know that they do because I am not called lemuure on that site but something else.

Now .. these gifts are to send someone a picture to keep. I have the puppy and the rose. I can't send gifties back cause I haven't enough jewels yet to be able to send puppies and roses around the site .. so, I thought .. what is a lemuure to do? After thinking I sent them best wishes.

Padding the gaming paws

I am now a gaming lemuure as well as a blogging lemuure. I play the gamies using the top most paws rather than the road-a-plodding paws. You have to do the very fast clicks. Clk .. clk .. clk .. clk.

Clk .. clk

Like this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1td6YCY-2PU

Can a lemuure pad the paws so fast. I think for this lemuure the answer could well be .... no. But we have the fun and sometimes we win a few jewels which aren't really jewels. We win them so we can do more on the site like have different fur styles fer the avatar.

Tuesday.

I'm still a sleepy lemuure with maybe a slight sniffle but not feeling too bad.

I've promised not to disappear from the blogosphere like I did when I went into hospital last time. I hadn't realised that I had left without so much as a word. Well, I'd gone to the hospital that morning as an out patient lemuure as usual but when I got there they said we want you in here lemuure and we want you back here in a few hours with your things. They like you to have your medications and clothes and things with you.

Well, you know me .. ever the late lemuure .. so there I was not rushing around the flat when I noticed that it was really time to be heading off for the hospital. I'd let folk know all over the place that I was going to be staying in the hospital for a while but I'd logged off without posting on the blogs in my rush not 2 B too late to get to the hospital. The team wanted to see me on the ward that day and I had to get to the hospital before they went home.

Panic!!!!!

Panic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Panic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So much to do.

In future I will check .. just as I will check the spelling of the words in the games I play before entering them into the games!!! Yes, I made a big typo this morning when I was trying to up my score in a tournament. Sigh .. but not to worry.

Anyway .. I'm off to get my fortisip for the day now. I think it'll be vanilla flavour.

A pottering back

Well, it's becomimg easier to pad the paws around the town but now I have a "stick" to help me. This stick is like a letter J though up the other way round. Some sticks are made out of wood but some are made of metal and have holes in them which help adjust the height. With my stick you have to get one the right height to start off with ... though I suppose you could saw a bit off it if it's too tall for you .. if it's too short .. forget it!!!

When I was in hospital I met someone who had a stick with butterflies painted on it which was very nice and just the right height for her to pad the paws around the town. This came from the Booties store. Mine has no butterflies and just looks like a stick, like a J, like an upside down J stick .. well, u no wat I mean.

Well ................................... I have been in the Warwick hospital as an in lemuure and back out again as an out lemuure. I have nurses who come to see me here and I also have to go and see Dr Charles Holmes and his team from BAD (British Association of Dermatologists).

http://www.bad.org.uk/

I was talking to one of the doctors while I was in hospital about my young friends who want to be doctors and are even thinking about being the dermatologists and he said it would be nice if they thought of joining the dermies up here. When we have talked about them being BAD doctors they have said that they thought it could be a good choice as they could be needed more and more if climate change brings around more cases of skin cancer and even possibly auto immune conditions like mine and lupus where solar damage could be one of the causes.

http://www.bad.org.uk/public/cancer

It is a hard decision to make at the moment though I think they have made their minds up.
